  Job Summary:
  
  Our company has a new Cognos 8 environment which sits on an Oracle data warehouse that contains: SAP data (material/customer/sales etc.), EPOS data, sales forecast data. The environment is used to provide business performance reporting (i.e. sales / forecast / epos by customer, brand, sku, etc.).
  
  Responsibilities for consultants:
  
  - Develop reports using Cognos 8
  - Recommend changes to ensure efficient reporting
  - Provide Cognos expertise (supervision) to the customers
  - Develop Technical specifications and functional assistance for the Cognos 8 development team
  - Prepare and assist key-user/end-user testing
  - Maintain end-user documentation
  - Instruct and assist Helpdesk team
  
  Responsibilities for developers:
  
  - Develop reports using Cognos 8
  - Recommend changes to ensure efficient reporting
  - Assist customers in properly developing report requirements, and make recommendations to the project process primarily in the area of report development and delivery
  - Provide Cognos expertise (supervision) to the customers
  
  Requirements:
  
  - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  - At least 4 years COGNOS (Impromptu, ReportNet, Powerplay) experience
  - Must have DB2 or Oracle, data warehousing, and business analyst experience
  - Experience defining and documenting technical requirements
  - Demonstrated self starter and ability to work with limited supervision
  - Proven communication skills
  - Demonstrated ability to be successful in a team environment
  - Strong problem solving skills
  - Strong familiarity with database concepts and DBA activities
